If you enjoy providing extraordinary technical support and solving customer issues, then you could be our next Technical Service Specialist VI at Welbilt’s - Frymaster facility.   As a Technical Service Specialist VI - you will provide technical support for incoming inquiries regarding service and repair issues with supported equipment in the field.   Reporting directly to the Field Service Manager, this position is located in Shreveport, Louisiana*.   We put the 'fast' in fast food and the refinement in fine dining.   • Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape and arrangement of parts.
  • Sketch rough layout of equipment or component and computes angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and location of holes.
  • Compute magnitude, direction, and point of application of tension, compression, and bending forces, and develop geometric shape of component parts to accommodate operating loads.    
  • Prepare 3D Solids layouts and assembly drawings using computer assisted design equipment and software.  Associate key parts and subassemblies into a controlled 3D model of the final product.      Modify design to correct operating deficiencies to reduce production problems and material and/or labor costs.
  • Measure equipment and component parts during production to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Utilize computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.
  • Provide work instructions to and work with machine specialists, manufacturing fabricators, and assemblers during product development and production introduction phases.     


Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a Technical Degree with a minimum of one year of experience servicing commercial foodservice or similar equipment is required. Will consider a high school diploma with a minimum of five years’ same experience in lieu of degree required.
  • Familiar and able to work with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Ability to communicate well and with tact verbally and in writing. 
  • Strong customer service skills – required.    
  • Office setting, heavy phone and computer use. 
  • Must be flexible. Ability to take on-call duty on a rotating basis for after-hours calls is required.
