If so, then look no further – your new career as Tax Analyst awaits you at Welbilt, Inc.'s Corporate Headquarters*.   As Tax Analyst, this person will assist with quarterly and annual preparation of global tax provisions / fixed asset governance for US federal and state tax compliance.  Develop a working comprehension of the CorpTax compliance/provision system.  Provide a valuable resource to independently research tax queries, respond to audit assistance and other filings, as well as ensure SOX documentation is maintained quarterly.   Reporting directly to the Director of Tax, this position is located in New Port Richey, FL.   We put the 'fast' in fast food and the refinement in fine dining.   • Quarterly and annual tax provision compliance
  • Global fixed asset governance
  • Provide compliance assistance for audits and tax inquiries
  • Independently research and provide guidance on tax compliance issues 
  Essential Job Functions:   
  • Quarterly tax provision compliance, including tax packages for global finance leaders and federal/state compliance
  • Review global fixed asset reports quarterly to ensure governance and documentation is complete
  • Assist with process and technology improvements to streamline compliance and reporting
  • Assist with federal, international and state responses to notices, requests, and audits in a timely manner
  • Research and provide guidance on various tax technical topics
  • Prepare relevant SOX documentation quarterly
  • Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in tax, required.
  • Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and tax research skills required.
  • CPA certification and experience with a multinational automated tax compliance/provision preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment are required. Problem solving, analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously are essential.
  • Must be career and goal oriented, and a potential resource for departmental succession planning.
