Job Description

Your tasks:

   To provide support for Germany users and end user computing devices and systems, support primarily for Herborn systems, but assistance for other German sites as well as remote users in both the Germany and abroad. Support for standard applications, as well as enterprise systems. Basic support for servers, storage and network hardware. In this role, the individual will align his or her activities directly to enterprise goals, objectives, and center of excellence vision in terms front office and back office strategy.  Travel to other locations may be necessary as required.

  • Handling the daily support for client computing infrastructure

  • Provide end user support, local and remote

  • Perform system administration and Management for network in the areas of security, user maintenance, software configuration and backups

  • Managing Projects and completing project tasks

  • Participation in Global team calls (Change Management, Project Calls etc)

Major Accountability

  • Support End users and End user computing systems

  • Provide onsite and remote support for Herborn users and infrastructure

  • Support local applications and services, as well as Welbilt corporate applications

  • Provide basic support for server and networks including backups and hardware

  • Support mobile devices and remote worker equipment

  • Support global projects and project implementations

  • Member of a relevant COE team

  • Security patching (Qualys)

Job Requirements

Your profile:

  • General IT, technical support, and related experience

  • Working knowledge of Windows client and Windows / VMware server operating systems in a networked environment

  • Working knowledge of business productivity applications and devices such as Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, printers, scanners, etc.

  • Very good German and good English knowledge spoken and written, other languages is an Advantage

  • Strong analytical, listening, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Strong drive for technical innovation and a passion to deliver business value; results and value driven

  • Exhibits commitment to organization

  • Evaluates self continuously. Actively seeks self-improvement opportunities. Self-motivated

  • Must be able to efficiently manage time in order to balance trouble ticket resolution as well as completing IS Requests.  Able to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • On-call support may be required during non-business hours for critical emergencies
