Job Description

Responsible for updating designs for new and existing products, including creation and maintenance of Pro/Engineer models and drawings and Oracle BOM's for the parts and assemblies, prototype and pre-production builds and issue resolution, and manufacturing process improvement and document support at the Tijuana, MX manufacturing site.   Creates and updates Pro/E models and drawings of parts and assem blies and Oracle BOM's as required to improve product quality, cost, or features and performance.           Ensures quality of drawings and functionality of equipmentby assisting in the building of prototypes, analyzing results, performing necessary calculations, and recommending alternate constructions or other solutions to issues.          Supports product engineering,  manufacturing engineering, purchasing,quality, and other operations functions by studying sketches, specifications, and supporting documents and creating or modifying drawings, views, adding dimensions or other details, and providing explanation of the design intent to others.                Participates in BOM validation and pre-production builds to assist in the development of new products, improvements to existing products and manufacturing processes in an individual capacity and as a team member.                 Creates and tracks Engineering Change Requests and Deviations to support new supplier, PCTO, and other product change needs in Tijuana.         Works with product teams, vendors, and manufacturing to analyze production and material costs and develops designs that can be produced economically and with high quality.               Works with local managers to develop and implement effective safety actions to reduce accidents.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 3-5 Years experience Appliance or other durable goods manufacturer Degree for Design Engineering only. Full command of English and Spanish. Previous experience in New Product/New Model Introduction is a must.  Must be fully capable in use ofPro/Engineer Wildfire.  Familiarity with ERP BOM system.  General Microsoft Office and other computer skills.       

Experience in refrigeration industry products is helpful.
