Under broad supervision, this position is responsible for the quality of processes and product outputs which may include:

Defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for a service or manufactured material, component, or product.
 
Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of processes or outputs, either against defined internal and/or regulatory standards.

Product integrity testing, coloring, fitting and pattern and wet processing to ensure orders are in compliance with corporate/customers' quality requirements.

Reporting on process deviations and defects. 

At this advanced level, a seasoned professional is a recognized as a subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

 Responsibilities typically include: 

Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager. 
Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals. 
Problems faced are difficult and often complex.


Reporting directly to the Director Quality, this position is based in Shreveport, Louisiana.


Major Accountability:

  • Responsible for daily tactical issues related to internal and external quality in the functional area.

  • Conducts and leads process improvement efforts as an individual and through teams to complete initiatives.

  • Supports related operations to improve and sustain KPIs.

  • Develops and sustains a Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO standards.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Reviews metrical performance of manufacturing system to prioritize issues.

  • Designs, implements, validates, and reports on systems that improve the metrical performance of plan operations.

  • Provides a primary quality resource and leadership with respect to quality policies and standards.

  • Familiar of basic ISO implementation, Six Sigma, and other statistical and quality tools, Kaizen, SPC, and Lean Mfg concepts.  Knowledge of Deming, Juran, Taguchi, is highly desired.

  • Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of more advanced statistical software and techniques for process and product analysis.

  • Able to read more complex prints, specifications, and schematics.

  • Participates as Quality representative for chartered teams.

  • Manages customer and supplier relations, expectations, and needs.

  • Provide assistance or direction to less experienced staff.



Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Manufacturing or Business preferred or experience in lieu of degree.

  • A minimum of 7 years of quality and manufacturing experience required.

  • C.Q.E. and/or Quality Assurance training with certificate underway or completed.

  • Knowledge of statistical software; good knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledgeable of MS Office products.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Must be able and willing to use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%.
