ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform duties required to ensure prompt delivery of proper parts and materials to production work areas, and move materials between departments, ensuring that proper routing of material is followed.

  • Work from written and verbal instructions and standard practice. 

  • Assists various departments  to move, lift, and route materials using a hand and power lift truck.  Moves materials to and from designated areas as prescribed. 

  • See that sufficient supply is provided and maintained in appropriate departments. 

  • Maintain proper stock levels for manufacturing departments, distribute per requisition. 

  • Exercise proper care to lift and balance loads properly. 

  • Provide cycle count inventory to ensure accuracy.  Works from service/sales order requisitions, parts requisitions. 

  • Transfer stock items and parts from appropriate manufacturing departments, issuing proper parts and materials against orders. 

  • Assemble as required. 

  • Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials

  • Detect and report faulty equipment, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervision. 

  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

  •  Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE: Requires application of general knowledge and training.  Use of ordinary arithmetic.

EXPERIENCE: Over three (3) months.
