 As the Internal Audit Senior Manager, you will work under the direction of the Internal Audit Vice President.  This position is initially SOX focused.  In addition to managing SOX testing activities, this role is expected to develop / enhance department policies and procedures intended to standardize and streamline the execution of the SOX program.

This position will also play a key role in developing and implementing a strategy to transition from a SOX focused department to a balanced Internal Audit team delivering operational, financial, compliance and advisory projects.

This role will afford you the opportunity to interact with multiple levels of Management, learn Welbilt's business units, and travel domestically and internationally.

Reporting directly to the Vice President Internal Audit, this position is based in New Port Richey, Florida.

 Major Accountabilities:

  • Develop, plan, and execute SOX audits at multiple locations.
  • Manages and assists in the development of audit procedures, review of work papers, and communication of results to Management.

  • Ensures high quality deliverables, value-added recommendations, and customer satisfaction.

  • Oversees issue remediation follow-up to ensure observations are communicated to Management and realistic actions are in place to resolve the root cause.

  • Partners with external auditors to ensure risk and control coverage and that the Internal Audit work is performed in a manner that allows external audit reliance.

  • Develops team members, sets expectations, supervise, coach, mentor and complete performance evaluations.

  • A tactical leader that gets things done both through formal and informal channels.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Builds strong working relationships throughout the company and within the team.
  • Develops the final draft of audit reports.

  • Manages the daily activities of auditors within various projects and monitors work progress.

  • Partner with the business to develop pragmatic solutions, while retaining independence.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 8 years of professional experience required.
  • CPA required.

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.

  • Thorough understanding of Internal Audit methodologies, processes.

  • Must be able to interact with all levels of staff and management within the organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently while balancing multiple priorities and meeting critical deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with presenting topics to senior management.

  • 8+ years of experience in accounting, internal auditing, and / or external auditing.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in an office and travel, including to international locations.
