Then look no further – your new career in Quality awaits at Welbilt.   As a Quality/ Reliability Analyst at Welbilt you will be responsible for logging the receipt of all components returned from Service Agencies and conducting laboratory testing of components that have been replaced during warranty service. This also applies to internal failures.   Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this position is located in Mississauga, ON. *   We put the 'fast' in fast food and the refinement in fine dining.   • Maintain a log of all parts returned. Match parts with checklist and claim.
  • Maintain a log of all Service Checklists returned
  • Analyze warranty and production data to determine root cause and improve processes/design. Report and present data
  • Work with engineering to establishes test protocols
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of field returns and internal failures. Define corrective actions
  • Evaluate the failure mode of returned parts
  • Support Product Engineers with returning parts to Suppliers and defining root cause of failures
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

Job Requirements

  • College Engineering Diploma or working towards one. C.Q.E. or C.R.E. in progress. Will consider a minimum of 5 years of experience in lieu of education.
  • Minimum two years of Manufacturing, Fabrication, or Quality experience required.
  • Working knowledge of desktop office software, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Able to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks and work with engineering, quality, marketing, procurement and service managers on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
  • Working knowledge of materials, mechanical and electrical devices.
  • Working knowledge of computer based testing and data collection equipment. Minitab preferred
  • Experience with mechanical equipment, and manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, fabrication welding, assembly processes, electrical circuits and gas technology
  • Approximately 70-80% of time is spent on the plant floor. The remaining time is spent in the office or on the perimeter of the building. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • This position is fast paced and requires employee to spend time in the engineering lab and on the shop floor. There will be times when this position will work with unionized hourly employees. This position will interact with internal contacts in Materials, Production, Customer Service, and Quality. Steel toed shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and hearing protection in required areas.
