Job Description

Quality Manager

Essential Job Functions:

• Machineries fabrication ,  ( Fabrication , painting, testing  analyses of material testing , vendor Quality Assessments, Full support to Supply Chain for their Vendor development program, assessments and Quality systems at the vendor’s end, Inspection of Forging.

• Implement effective quality management FOCUS for product and process in accordance with company quality objective.

• Collect and analyze all customer and factory related quality issues and make corrective & preventive action to meet the CSI targets

Major Responsibility:

• Initiate and implement FOCUS quality assurance programs to improve the product quality through research and analysis of inspection result, product defects, test performance, customer satisfaction index and warranty reports.

• Manage the quality control process with QMS-ISO procedure and extending QCC and MOS to identify improvement opportunity and implement improvement action plan.

• Collect & Manage quality data using SPC and Attribute analysis to do statistics and analysis.

• Implement effective evaluation for skills & performance of subordinates and build up good team work spirit.

• Collaborate with Global FOCUS team to insure global methods and procedures are executed consistently and deliver global processes & procedures.

• Maintenance FOCUS quality system effectively through annual internal and process audit and regular management review. Take corrective and preventative action to solve non-conformity.

• Coordinate with national and local authorities to ensure our product meet the statutory industrial requirements for Manitowoc

Job Requirements:

• Know how to work and check with outsourcing vendors and the quality of the outsourcing parts

• Know the steel types (steel plate and steel angles)

• System control, process and methodology of quality

• Aware about 5S, Lean Manufacturing concept, SPC tools, 6 sigma, PSP (PDCA)

• ISO 9000 (QMR), Familiar with ISO 9001. TS 16949, & PPAP procedures,

• Quality Assurance (Production Quality Management, Supplier Quality Management, Field Performance Management and Reliability)

• Metal Inspection – Knowledge of ASNT – American Society of Non Destructive testing – Level- I/11,

and knowledge of  Ultrasonic test, Radio testing, Penetration test & Magnetic Particle testing, painting processes,

Open position available in the Monterrey, Mexico, facility.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent with 10-15  years of relevant experience, preferably in the HVAC or Metal mechanic industries
  • Experience in the start up phase is a plus
  • Preparation for the ISO-9001:2015 certification is preferred
  • Lean manufacturing environment
  • Fully bilingual Spanish/English
  • Valid US visa
