If so, you could be our next Project Manager with Welbilt.   As Project Manager you will be responsible for the implementation and coordination of projects, including NPI, will develop best practices and tools for project execution and management and will manage the project documentation and reporting.  You will also manage a cross functional team, sharing best practices with other team members.   Reporting directly to the Vice President and General Manager, Garland, this position is in Mississauga, ON. *   We put the 'fast' in fast food and the refinement in fine dining.   • Direct and manage assigned projects from beginning to end, including NPI projects
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.  Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents like work plan flow, detailed Gantt Chart/Pert Chart and RACI chart is created and utilized for project execution
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools; update Senior Management and stakeholders
  • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, including influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work; Resolve issues as needed.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
  • Conduct project post mortems and create recommendations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Share best practice and lessons learned throughout the organization in order to improve project performance and capability
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science/Math/Business
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience is required
  • Experience managing projects in a manufacturing/engineering environment required
  • Six Sigma certification preferred
  • PMP preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required
  • Excellent people skills required to integrate across functional boundaries
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile systems and Lean systems
  • Must be able to travel up to 5%
