Look no further – your future as a Planner/Scheduler starts today at Welbilt’s Shreveport Facility*.   As a Planner/Scheduler you will be responsible for leading the Production Control team to maintain the integrity of data provided to Manufacturing in support of Plant Goals and Customer Satisfaction.  This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.   We put the 'fast' in fast food and the refinement in fine dining.   Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for the planning and scheduling of production activities by sequencing customer demand through individual work centers to maximize output.  
  • Maintaining complete and accurate information on Production Schedules and Reports    
  • Develop and maintain Capacity for all production resources.  Establish guidelines for production orders to provide schedule balance and constraint resolution
  • Support New product introductions       
  • Responsible for analyzing work flow and aggressively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement projects to maximize the use of manpower and equipment
  • Responsible for communications with customer service to understand current and expected sales requirements
  • Assist in the reallocation of material not specifically linked to production orders, managing excess and obsolete inventory as well as disposition of returns
  • Create and maintain job instructions for all Production Control work processes.  Ensure that all Production Schedulers are crossed trained in all work processes

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:  
  • Associates’ Degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in production control/production planning/purchasing required.  Minimum of 5 years' experience in production control/production planning/purchasing in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • ERP experience 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing, self-directed environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all management levels.
  • Strong investigative, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
