The successful candidate will bring analytical capacity and ability to work cross-functionally to achieve business priorities by liaising with different stakeholders on the various rebate and commission programs, executing rebates and commissions pay-outs and performing monthly reconciliations. This position also provides hands-on financial support in warranty area by analyzing warranty cost by product line, providing various reports to operations and performing monthly reconciliations.   Reporting directly to Controller – Welbilt Canada; this position is located in Mississauga, ON.*   We put the 'fast' in fast food and the refinement in fine dining.   • Liaise with sales and commercial finance teams to ensure the integrity of the various rebate programs and commissions through sufficient and complete supporting documentation. Ensure that forecasted rebates and sales commissions represent the terms of the contract and are correctly provisioned for and recorded in the GL.
  • Execute rebates and sales commissions pay-out calculation on monthly/quarterly/annual basis and perform monthly GL accounts reconciliation on a timely manner. 
  • Support financial and operational management in warranty area by analyzing warranty expense and extended warranty revenue by product line, calculating monthly warranty accruals and providing variety of warranty reports to stakeholders.
  • Interact with External and Internal auditors in all aspects of rebates, commissions and warranty requests.
  • Review and analyze Rebate contracts, work closely with sales and sales finance team to ensure rebate accruals are accurate and complete. Analyze rebate and discount cost, provide input for forecast and budget and explain variances vs. prior/budget/forecast. Maintain monthly rebate GL accounts reconciliations for three entities. Execute rebate pay-outs calculation on timely manner. Maintain TRM module to ensure accuracy of data. Other ad hoc reporting as needed and with minimal supervision, including charts, graphs and extraction of transactional data.
  • Provide hands-on financial support in warranty area by analyzing warranty cost and extended warranty revenue by product line and providing various reports to operations. Perform calculation of monthly warranty accruals and extended warranty revenue. Calculate warranty cost charges back to various sister companies. Interact with sister companies to ensure warranty invoices are being paid or reconciled the differences. Prepare monthly various warranty related BS account reconciliations.
  • Interact with sales group to ensure commissions contracts information is up to date. Calculate monthly sales commissions for three entities on timely manner.
  • Maintain templates and assist coordination of annual budgets and forecasts for rebate, sales commissions and warranty working closely with sales and operation leaders to support budget and forecast assumptions.
  • Create and maintain QAD, TRM and HFM reports to support driver-based financial analysis and properly support reconciliation of account activity and balances for rebate commissions and warranty.
  • Support department initiatives and Audit Requests
  • Preparing month end account reconciliations.
  • Ensure adherence to SOX Controls and Corporate Policy

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance
  • Minimum 3 Years of experience in Finance Analysis, General Accounting
  • Strong MS Office. Proficient in excel, including pivot tables, charts and complex formulas.
  • Strong ERP. Preferably QAD. Experience with HFM is an asset.
  • Demonstrated propensity for data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in General Ledger setups a plus.
  • Strong technical background for system setups a plus.
