Welbilt’s co-op program will take place at the Corporate Headquarters in New Port Richey, FL.

  • Report to a Senior member of the IT team

  Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure PC computers and desktop applications.

  • Upgrading Windows 7 machines to Windows 10 operating system

  • Windows Operating System/MS Office Suite support

  • Apply security updates and software security patches to computers

  • Assist with updating and maintaining asset management for user devices

  • Work directly with end users to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and escalate to different IT functions (desktop, printers, desk and mobile phones)

  • Assign service desk tickets to correct groups within Welbilt IT

Job Requirements

Specialized Skills, Experience, Software and/or Equipment Used to Perform This Job:

  • Knowledge of Windows Operating System 7/10 - required

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – required

  • A/V equipment setup knowledge is a plus

  • A+ Certification is a plus

  • Must be detail oriented and have strong customer service skills

  • Experience troubleshooting basic computer problems

  Program Qualifications:
  • Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology at an accredited school. Must have completed Freshman year of coursework prior to the start of the internship.

  • Valid US Work authorization required

  • Working environment - Normal office conditions with extended periods of sitting or standing

  • Schedule - Normal business hours; up to 30 hours per week. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
