If so, then look no further – your new career as a Financial Analyst awaits you at Manitowoc's Foodservice facility*.   As a Financial Analyst, this person will be responsible for helping create, monitor and adjust FSG functional budgets. This role is responsible for running project accounting, maintaining GL account setups, performing monthly close activities and analyzing spend trends, looking for ways to optimize spending and create value for shareholders.  Must be a business partner to functional leaders and management as it relates to budgets and spend reporting vs budgets.   Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this position is located in Manitowoc, WI.    We put the 'fast' in fast food and the refinement in fine dining.   • Review and analyze department expenses vs. budget, forecast and prior year and proactively summarize and report key variances to Budget Managers and Finance Director with explanations of the “why” not just the “what”.
  • Month end close activities and reporting including booking journal entries, account reconciliations, open/close financial periods, loading financials to Corporate Financial Consolidation System (HFM), and creating cost center and project accounting reports.
  • Oracle General Ledger Chart of Accounts and Oracle Projects ownership.  Includes set up, maintenance and reporting.  Must have ability to ensure all setups align with global policy and accounting guidance. 
  • Maintain templates and assist coordination of annual budgets and forecasts for department expenses working closely with department managers and Accounting Manager.
  • Ad hoc reporting as needed and with minimal supervision.  Includes creating and maintaining Oracle, HFM and Discoverer reports to support driver-based financial analysis and properly support reconciliation of account activity and balances.
  • Ensure adherence to SOX Controls and Corporate Policy. Includes support of internal and external audits.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance required and a minimum of three years of experience in General Accounting, Variance Analysis or will consider 13 years of previous progressive experience in General Accounting and Variance Analysis.
  • Strong MS Office.  Proficient in excel, including pivot tables, charts and complex formulas.
  • Strong ERP experience, preferably in Oracle.
  • Demonstrated propensity for data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in General Ledger setups a plus.
  • Strong technical background for system setups a plus.
