This position will assist with field deployments, requirements, Verification & Validation testing; and will lead efforts to: develop and maintain the Laboratory for Digital development, testing, and deployment.   Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Engineering; this position will be located at our headquarters in New Port Richey, FL*.   We put the 'fast' in fast food and the refinement in fine dining.   • Support Engineers (internal and external) on connectivity projects.
  • Assist with Functional requirements creation, review, and change management systems
  • Working within the budget to determine equipment needs to support all ongoing development of Digitally Connected Products
  • Maintaining a Digital Laboratory to support development and testing of Digitally Connected Products.  Track inventory of kits, installs, and pilots.
  • Traveling to customer sights to deploy early releases of Digitally Connected Products
  • Coordinate testing with Product Manager, Project Manager, Development Engineers and Technicians as required.
  • Work with Welbilt IT to ensure Internet based development infrastructure is suitable, safe, and maintainable and compliant in operation with outside customers (QSRs, etc.)

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:    
  • Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering; with a minimum of 3 years of Industry experience is required
  • Proficient in tools - IDE, Compilers, Debug tools, Network troubleshooting tools. Issues tracking tool, and configuration Management tools.  
  • Familiar with Markup Languages- C, C++, Java Script, HTML, PHP, Python.
  • Experience with Ethernet, Wi-Fi networks and Mobile Networks.
  • Familiar with Operating Systems- Windows, Linux, iOS and Android.
  • Familiar with ioT (Internet of Things) protocols like MQTT, AMQP, HTTPS, SNMP, FTP etc. along with Security aspects.
  • Experience with Protocols like RS485, CAN, TCP/IP, ZigBee, Mi-Wi.
  • Must be able to work independently and communicate with key functions effectively.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
