Welbilt’s internship program is designed to expose individuals to all phases of the foodservice equipment value chain and will take place at the Corporate Headquarters in New Port Richey, FL.

  • Gain knowledge and experience with global safety values and processes

  • Strengthen professional skills in the areas of: safety programming software, global safety compliance and safety measurement and auditing processes

  • Report to the Director Global EHS

 Responsibilities:

  • Global safety software utilization and reporting

  • Produce safety templates and guides for new safety elements

  • Perform full risk assessments for Welbilt’s New Port Richey location

  • Organize and generate monthly global performance data

  • Design a global safety innovation or tool for presentation and implementation


Job Requirements

Program Qualifications:


  • Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health and Environmental studies at an accredited school. Must have completed Sophomore year of coursework prior to the start of the internship.
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA, NFPA and ANSI Safety Compliance
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk assessment and analysis (ALARP – as low as reasonably practicable or acceptable)
  • Demonstrate passion for safety, analysis, innovation and implementation
  • Valid US Work authorization required
  • Working environment - Normal office conditions with extended periods of sitting or standing
  • Schedule - Normal business hours; up to 30 hours per week
