Including, hands on machine operation for trouble shooting.  Responsible to train machine operators and run equipment when special projects are necessary.   We put the 'fast' in fast food and the refinement in fine dining.   • Reviews and interprets drawings and engineering change orders to determine job specifications and manufacturing methods.
  • Reviews drawings and engineering changes to evaluate compatibility factors such as quantity and shape of parts, and type, size, alloy, and gauge of material to produce a process that maximizes material utilization and minimizes machine setup and operation.  Coordinates corrective actions with design engineers.
  • Programs and enters computer commands to retrieve stored parts data and graphic displays such as simulated patterns or templates and displays and manipulates part images on computer screen into optimum arrangement.
  • Enters commands to create, title, and store error free programs in computer memory and to build and maintain source files.

  • Troubleshoots, solves, and discusses program or machine problems with operators or other personnel.
  • Performs studies of time, motion, methods and speed for various worker operations in order to establish standards and improve efficiency.
  • Perform pre-shift preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
  • Fabricate specialty/custom component parts
  • Perform duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Manitowoc Code of Conduct requirements
  • Actively participate in safety training and demonstrate competency by effectively resolving safety issues or bringing them to the attention of management

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 3-5 years experience in CNC programming
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints
  • Advanced math and reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Basic ability to read, speak, and understand English language  
  • In depth knowledge of the product and fabrication
  • Ability to demonstrate safe and effective operation of all required equipment
  • Stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of work day
