We win together as one team.   As Driver for the Welbilt Distribution Center, responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, operates company vehicles and load and unload material in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to insure quality, safety, and productivity standards are met to satisfy customer requirements     Essential Job Functions:
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections, report findings to maintenance, and maintain daily operating log per DOT requirements
  • Safely operate company vehicle intrastate including but not limited to semi tractor, truck pulling gooseneck trailer, and other commercial vehicles
  • Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, and other handling equipment to move/load/unload material and products
  • Constructs shipping containers, prepare product for shipment, and crate and/or band product in preparation for loading
  • Complete and maintain all associated electronic processes paperwork (including but not limited to checklists, stamping, blueprints, bar coding  and including shipping material)
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
  • Perform duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Welbilt Code of Conduct requirements
  • Actively participate in safety training and demonstrate competency by effectively resolving safety issues or bringing them to the attention of management

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 year’s experience operating tractor with trailer
  • Possess a valid state driver's licenses with required endorsements
  • Possess and maintain health card where applicable
  • Demonstrate safe vehicle and material handling equipment operation
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to demonstrate safe and effective operation of all required material handling equipment
  • Basic ability to read, speak, and understand English language
  • Stand and walk on concrete up to 50% of work day and sit 50% of work day
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch
  • Lift and carry up to 35 lbs alone and over 35 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to use hands to reach and to handle or feel
  • Work in non-temperature controlled environment
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work over 40 hours as required.
