As CAD Designer, you will be responsible for developing advanced detailing, redrawing, lettering and tracing of drawings of components, assemblies, and engineering change orders. This position performs drafting/design duties by operating Computer Aided Design (CAD) equipment such as digitizers, plotters, CRT's, and associated peripheral equipment and software.


Reporting directly to the SVP New Product Development & Innovation, this position is located at our headquarters in New Port Richey, FL.

  Major Accountability:
  • With significant exercise of judgement, prepare drawings and sketches using CAD workstations, appropriate design criteria and technical manuals - all according to established standards and procedures.

  • Ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Will work closely with engineers to ensure coordination of designs.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Utilize 3D CAD methods, perform complex drafting/design assignments; including tracing, markups, and CAD correcting on own and others work.

  • Work from data, such as, drawings, layouts, detailed sketches, notes, verbal instructions, and standard references.

  • Perform complex drafting duties operating Computer Aided Design (CAD) equipment including digitizers, plotters, CRT's, and associated peripheral equipment and software. May use special techniques in schematic drawing, isometric, orthographic or perspective projection.


Job Requirements

Job Requirements:  

  • High School Diploma with previous academic preparation with CAD and a minimum of 4 years of progressive CAD work experience in related capacity is required. Associate’s degree in Engineering Design is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of intermediate level design concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Able to read and prepare drawings.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced cross functional team environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills and project/task leadership experience.
  • Normal office work environment. May be required to lift 50lbs.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
