This position will be responsible for managing and supervising the Company's external reporting process with the Securities and Exchange Commission ('SEC') and other governmental bodies, including but not limited to the 10K, 10Q, 11-K and 8K filings, for example, inclusive of all XBRL. It will also be responsible for providing technical accounting guidance and training to the global organization, and supporting company's accounting positions are appropriate, thoroughly communicated, and in compliance with the established accounting framework. This role will also oversee the more technical accounting matters such as global pension, product liability, workers' compensation, stock-based compensation, derivatives and will work closely with other stakeholders, functions within the enterprise and third-party specialists to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial numbers in these various areas. This role is also responsible for interacting with the corporate accounting function. This role will be involved in reviewing and analyzing the consolidated financial results and position of the Company as well as implementing corrections or improvements when required.  The role will also coordinate with PwC as well as focus on SOX controls within the specified processes. Special projects will be supported as required.


Reporting directly to the VP Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, this position is based in New Port Richey, Florida.


Major Accountabilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all required SEC reports, inclusive of XBRL.

  • Proactively understand new accounting issues and impact on the Company and ensure compliance with GAAP.

  • Communicate accounting and SEC issues on a timely basis to management.

  • Monitor and communicate company accounting policies in line with U.S. GAAP.



Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervision of the company's external reporting function, including but not limited to the preparation and filing SEC requirements and other regulatory and governmental filing requirements on a regular basis.

  • Provide technical accounting guidance to the overall organization; perform research and prepare accounting position papers on one-off and technical issues affecting the business; answer questions posed by the business related to any accounting matter.

  • Establish Company policies and procedures consistent with the Company's objectives and provide training to ensure their execution.  This includes actively managing and monitoring compliance with specific policies and processes such as revenue recognition, worker's compensation, product liability, securitization, and certain incentive plans.

  • Meet finance operational standards by contributing information to forecasts and reviews, analyzing financial information, implementing process efficiencies and identifying systems improvements.

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for the external auditors to facilitate the audit process and ensure financial statement are in accordance with GAAP.

  • Provide accounting oversight and serve as a point of contact, control, as it relates to the reporting of the company risk management and derivative positions, including the analysis and maintenance of the Reval Treasury Management System. 

  • Support the fiscal accounting cycle as required.



Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 12 years of professional experience required

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

  • CPA required

  • Required minimum 5 years of Public Accounting experience; preferably at a Big 4 Public Accounting firm (mix of public and industry experience preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting issues required

  • Experience leading initiatives and projects with cross functional teams in a highly complex, fast-paced environment required

  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail with ability to identify issues and propose solutions to complex or non-standard situations

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Experience in international organization preferred

  • Experience working with a decentralized team of professionals in a matrix organization a plus

  • Candidate must be proficient in a Microsoft Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)

  • Excellent written, analytical, problem-solving, verbal, listening, presentation and facilitation skills required

  • Ability to clearly and concisely document and effectively communicate complex accounting and reporting issues to finance and non-finance personnel

  • Strong leadership and relationship-building capabilities, including the ability to lead/influence those not directly reporting to this role

  • Ability to effectively work and create effective partnerships with employees at all levels within the organization required

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic business and work environment and manage multiple priorities required

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills required

  • Highly motivated and self-directed required

  • Ability to provide oversight across multiple initiatives or projects from inception to conclusion required
