The Welder is responsible for performing daily assigned tasks from lead hands.  Prerequisites include the possibilities of work assigned in other areas on a needed basis, the willingness to teach/learn machine operating technique to/from others, the proven efforts to maintain work area cleanliness, and the ensured safety awareness/practices for self and others in the workplace.  Furthermore, the Welder will ensure the quality of work by carrying out corrective actions as needed, and in reporting deviations as observed.

Essential Job functions:

  • Must be experienced in MIG, TIG and Arc (stick) welding.
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints / drawings.
  • Proven working experience with tools, preferably in manufacturing settings.
  • Quality awareness combined with fast working hands.
  • Knowledge of metal properties.
  • Initiatives to take corrective actions.
  • Responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work shifts.
  • Written and oral aptitude in English.
  • Physically fit.

Moderate to heavy lifting required

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Basic ability to read, speak, and understand English language
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of workday
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. alone and over 50 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to use hands to reach and to handle or feel
  • Ability to visibly inspect product

Day shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Afternoon shift: 4:00 pm - 12:30 am
