This position will also conduct research and recommend software development tools to management, develop software to be implemented in internal and customer product lines, and test and maintain software implemented in company product lines.   Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager; this position is located in Mississauga, ON*.   We put the 'fast' in fast food and the refinement in fine dining.   • Create software test plans and execute them.
  • Write software codes.
  • Manage project (from software deliverables, interacting with third party companies).
  • Debugging written codes.
  • Establishing process flow.
  • Hardware and software requirements creation and management.
  • Analyze functional requirements and translate them to product design.
  • Manage existing software product improvement projects.
  • Develop concepts and architecture for new software product.
  • Write and test protocols and design verification testing for company product lines. Conduct unit testing. Resolve issues as they arise from testing.
  • Design, code, and debug applications in various software languages.
  • SVN management

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Software Engineering; with a minimum of three years of embedded software design, development, and software diagnostics experience is required. Will consider a minimum of eleven years of software engineering experience in lieu of education.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Qt framework (QtQuick, QML)
  • Experience with Real time C/C++ software / embedded SW design and development for the ARM processor in a Linux environment.
  • Software development experience in Linux operating systems.
  • Demonstrated abilities using debuggers, emulators, and compilers/assemblers.
  • Understanding of good software design and documentation practices.
  • Uses software configuration management and defect management tools.
  • Excellent code documentation and commenting skills.
  • Excellent debug and troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge and practice in software validation practices.
