As Senior Business Systems Analyst, this person is the liaison between the business end-users and IT Systems Development teams for business needs requiring IT based solutions.  This includes evaluating   user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies, documenting system requirements, defining scope and objectives, and creating system specifications that drive system development and implementation. Incumbents have both business and technical knowledge. This is a Senior/Career level position which applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

Reporting directly to the Manager Information Technology, this position is based in Manitowoc, WI*.

Major Accountability:

  • Identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives.

  • Making recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.

  • Researching business requirements and documenting the relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices).

  • Translating business requirements into application requirements.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
  • Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.
  • Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT/Programming or Business and a minimum of four years direct IT support experience required.  Will consider eight years of previous IT/Programming or Business and a minimum of four years direct IT support experience, in lieu of education.
