The Quality Tech II will work under general supervision, responsibility may include, but are not limited to inspect materials and products for conformance to specifications using fixed or preset measuring instruments to insure quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met to satisfy customer requirements

Essential Job Functions:


•     Audits/inspects raw material, component parts, sub-assemblies, and finished goods to ensure conformance to specifications

•    Interprets engineering drawings, diagrams, and confers with management/engineering staff to communicate issues and concerns about material and product quality.

•    Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.

•    Perform duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Welbilt Code of Conduct requirements.

•    Actively participate in safety training and demonstrate competency by effectively resolving safety issues or bringing them to the attention of management.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience required
  • High School Diploma required
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints
  • Advanced math and reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English language
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate safe and effective utilization of all required equipment
  • Stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of work day
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs alone and over 50 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to climb and balance
  • Ability to use hands to reach and to handle or feel
  • Manual dexterity in hands for tool usage
  • Ability to visually inspect product
