S/he is responsible for providing relevant and up-to-date product information including unique selling propositions and sales arguments as well as planning and holding internal product trainings. S/he manages product launches in close collaboration with the regional marketing teams to secure commercial success.   Reporting directly to the Vice President Product Management, this position is based in Manitowoc, WI.   We put the 'fast' in fast food and the refinement in fine dining.   • Constantly assess global customer expectations and monitor competitor product developments
  • Provide inputs to global product development discussions and works with product managers to submit new product development requests
  • Develop global and regional product portfolio by segment incl. competitive positioning, and unique selling propositions (USPs) that are aligned with brand position
  • Based on product positioning define go to market bandwidths (incl. pricing ranges, volume aspirations, support requirements) as part of new product introductions and annual budgets
  • Develop budgets and set calendar for activities
  • Provide all product related inputs (spec, competitive comparisons, USPs, etc.) required for development of commercial materials (brochures, campaign plans, dealer mailings, etc.)
  • Set product trainings requirements and develop product training materials and deliver product trainings to regional teams (train-the-trainer), support demonstrations and campaigns as required
  • Act as product launch manager for new product introductions managing all involved functions to secure maximum commercial success
  • As part of product launches, develop all technical and competitive inputs and define product commercialization strategy (incl. position, price)

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:   
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Marketing or Culinary and a minimum of five years of progressive experience in product related area, preferably with foodservice equipment.
  • Strong combination of product expertise and sales & marketing insights
  • Thorough product know-how
  • Experience in market analysis, competitive benchmarking and positioning
  • Ability to understand global product requirements and dynamics
  • Ability to manage projects successfully
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally 20% of the time.
