Position Summary -Explain in 3 – 5 sentences the general purpose of the job Overall site responsibility for strategic development and execution of accurate, efficient and effective flow of information and materials to support manufacturing and ensure customer satisfaction through on-time and complete product shipping   Major Accountabilitystate 3-4 core areas of job responsibility
  • Through application of motivation techniques and delegation authority ensure purchased materials and services are available as needed to support production matching MRP demand and KANBAN requirements. Material assurance that those levels are managed against cost metrics and overall demand.
  • Through application of motivation techniques and delegation authority ensure active and definitive communication to groups regarding current load and overall capacity, continually monitoring order entry ship dates alignment with published lead times, and driving robust planning and scheduling releases of manufacturing orders to the production floor that do not exceed capacity or overload any specific resource
  • Create and analyze metrics for areas of responsibilities to drive performance and results; initiate actions to correct deviations and variables as to schedules, excessive costs and other negative factors assuring that departmental goals are in alignment with overall goals for the materials group as a support function of manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement robust processes to ensure all materials are moved within the plant in an efficient and effective manner to meet production needs and inventory accuracy goals.
