The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining the smooth flow of parts and materials through the whole factory.  The material handler is responsible for tracking the movement of components with a bar code scanner.  Prerequisites include the possibilities of work assigned in other areas on a needed basis and the willingness to teach/learn material handling technique to/from others.

 Essential Job functions:

  • A valid forklift licence is required
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work overtime based on operational needs
  • Must be dependable, responsible and reliable
  • Ability to read and understand instructions written in English
  • Light to moderate lifting required – up to 50 lbs
  • Perform duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Welbilt Code of Conduct requirements
  • Actively participate in safety training and demonstrate competency by effectively resolving safety issues or bringing them to the attention of management
  • Ability to work afternoon shift

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Valid Forklift Licence
  • Minimum 1 year experience driving a forklift
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to use a barcode scanner
  • Basic ability to read, speak, and understand English language
  • Stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of workday
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. alone and over 50 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to visibly inspect product

Afternoon shift: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am, Monday to Friday
