The Mgr Test Engineering interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform and interpret tests for products, systems, components, , or modifications. Participates in final system integration and validation to identify functional problems. Defines internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs. Creates, documents, and analyzes complex test cases and provides feedback and recommendations for products or design changes. Ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. Develops and implements improvements to overall testing and quality programs. May coordinate with vendors or suppliers to modify or develop testing for components and other parts. 


Reporting directly to the Director of Operational Excellence, this position is based in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Major Accountability:

  • Lead Test Engineering department in supporting test functions across the production environment

  • Develop new test equipment and procedures as required

  • Provide innovative solutions in addressing testing issues

  • Lead Fist Pass Yield improvement initiatives

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provides test engineering leadership in developing and maintaining test-equipment

  • Works collaboratively with other functional areas to drive priorities that support the overall business strategy

  • Works closely with Senior Management team to evaluate test-related infrastructure investments

  • Plans, directs and controls test-engineering effort directly related to assigned projects, including establishing program criteria, planning and scheduling

  • Maintains close contact and coordinate activities with other groups within the Product/Design Engineering Department

  • Supervises work of assigned resources including internal or external contractors




Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required, prefer electrical engineering or equivalent

  • A minimum of 7 years experience in production testing and leadership/supervisory roles

  • Strong knowledge of electronics, computer controls and test engineering applications (LabVIEW, ATEasy, other)

  • Strong written and verbal communications

  • Ability to interact with all levels of the company in support of job functions

  • Multiple task management ability with ability to plan and execute plans

  • High degree of mechanical and technology aptitude

  • Complete understanding of reliability concepts and process capability methods.

  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook programs

  • Lean Six Sigma experience, training or certification preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office or lab environment.

  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
