Job Description

The leader mechanical engineer is responsible for the overall planning of the project together with Project manager assigned. He will assign resources to the project, coordination, control, communication and completion of specific projects assigned to the team ensuring consistency with CREM´s strategy, commitments and goals.

   Key Tasks and Responsibilities                                                                                                                                                                                                      1. Lead Mechanical Engineering team, coordinate and define the different activities within the team, according to the priorities defined in the project and competences of each one in the team. 

2. Ensure the daily work of the team are according compliances of the standards and process of the company.

 3. Identify and cooperate in the elaboration of improvement opportunities of these processes.

 4. Ensure proper management of technical specifications and create product design for manufacturing based on project task, cost and quality.

 5. Prepare and present mechanical solutions to stakeholders from concept to launch of the project.        

6. Collaborate with the Supply Chain function to ensure that the correct suppliers are available to support the engineering and manufacturing activities.

7. Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities. Develop, implement and improve relevant processes, policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the Engineering team.

8. Organize technical training and support to guarantee the expected competence level of the team and the sharing of knowledge and expertise.

9. Provides technical support and provide direction to mechanical engineer's team responsible after launch the project from R&D.

10. Coordinates the evaluation of the design changes in every project gate review and verify the implementation of those approved.              

Job Requirements

Major Accountability –state 3-4 core areas of job responsibility

•Degree in Engineering. 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering 'preferably in the beverage dispenser's equipment industry.

•Structured and good organization skills. Strong communication and influencing skills.  Good teamworking skills

• Good negotiation skills in a multicultural environment.

•Good knowledge of project management techniques and tools   

•Strong experience in CAD systems 'preferably with Solidworks'.

•Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management

Specialized Skills, Experience, Software and/or Equipment used to perform the job.  Include Certifications and licenses
