As Financial Analyst – you will be responsible for Oracle, HFM and FAS related tasks and reports as it applies to the general ledger, financial reporting and financial analysis for Sellersburg, Indiana, Tijuana, Mexico and Covington, Tennessee. You will also provide backup for the Controller and Cost Accountant and assist with Ice and KitchenCare analysis and reporting on an as needed basis.

Reporting directly to the Controller, this position is located in Sellersburg, Indiana, or New Port Richey, Florida.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Create and maintain Oracle, HFM and Discoverer reports to support driver-based financial analysis and properly support reconciliation of account activity and balances.
  • Analyze and reconcile fixed assets, depreciation and construction in process within FAS and Oracle projects module to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Prepare daily sales/inventory/OTIF reports for Ice, Beverage and KitchenCare, comparison with plan reports, and distribution of such reports to departments.
  • Analyze Indiana and California purchases and prepare/report sales and use tax return information. Assist with audit preparation and defense as required. Coordinate property tax accruals and payment preparation process.
  • Assist with monthly closing cycle through maintenance of closing checklist; the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations; preparation and reconciliation of actual/plan/reest loads into HFM from Oracle. Recurring tax analysis and reporting
  • Maintain templates and coordinate annual budgets and forecasts for department expenses working closely with department managers and Controller.
  • Review and analyze department expenses monthly vs. budget/reest and prior year and proactively summarize and report key variances to Managing Director  and Controller. Other ad hoc reporting as needed and with some supervision.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; and a minimum of one year of experience in Accounting/Finance is required.
  • Accounting/Finance experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, Oracle and HFM is preferred.
  • Demonstrate propensity for data analysis with strong attention to detail accuracy.
  • Familiar and able to work with Microsoft Office programs. Must be proficient in Excel – including pivot tables and complex formulas.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand contracts.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to perform under restrictive deadlines.
