As Director Trade Compliance - you will be responsible for directing the region’s comprehensive ethics, business conduct and compliance activities for all U.S. operations including the development and implementation of processes, procedures and systems to meet the Company’s compliance activities and reporting requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; compliance aspects of the import/export and transshipment of materials, equipment, products, packages and documents including fulfillment of customs requirements, managing and planning import process, customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign merchandise ensuring compliance with the home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations. Overseeing anti-corruption compliance efforts at the direction of Company Counsel. Consulting with and providing guidance and direction to the senior executive in all aspects of trade compliance.


This position is based at the Corporate Headquarters in New Port Richey, Florida and will report directly to the EVP & General Counsel.


Major Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and monitor the processes by which goods enter the United States in conformance with all U.S. laws and regulations.

  • Develop, implement, maintain and monitor regional trade compliance standards, policies, procedures and practices.

  • Manage U.S. trade compliance for the Company ensuring all company and government requirements for trade projects are met.

  • Ensure all US shipping documentation is complete and meets legal requirements.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish an integrated SIOP process to achieve focus, alignment and synchronization for the purchasing, planning and production of customer orders to improve on-time delivery and customer satisfaction

  • Develop an updated forecasting system which includes sourcing, procurement, production, and delivery to customer

  • Collaborate with global commercial sales delivery teams to manage and communicate customer lead time plans

  • Collaborate with product development and stage gate teams to execute on regular new product introductions

  • Global Supply Chain operations

  • Provide leadership and support to the global and regional sourcing and procurement teams for execution of sourcing initiatives

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Manufacturing, Legal or relevant field is required; with a minimum of 10 years of experience overseeing trade compliance (e.g. freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and customs trade compliance) is required.

  • Extensive knowledge of US Customs trade regulations and practices.

  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

  • Work effectively with all levels of management, staff and internal and external auditors and compliance staff.

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time in a routine office environment.

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
