The Controller will establish and maintain the sales infrastructure to support the centralized sales within the Americas and global strategic accounts.  There will be strong interaction with factories and commercial sales to develop, implement and maintain tools necessary for these customers to perform their functions and deliver Welbilt sales and margin target performance levels.


Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this position is based in New Port Richey, Florida.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Business partner to Commercial Sales and Operations, NA
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of product line financial and management of reporting data
  • Analyze and provide financial modeling regarding profitability of strategic initiatives, new products and product upgrades
  • Support Americas product line financial planning, budgeting and forecasting   
  • Governance of central accounting as it pertains to sales and marketing related accounts (rebates, commission, promo funds, co-op advertising) in compliance with Corporate Accounting requirements

Job Requirements

Essential Job Functions:

  • ANALYTICS: Support the sales channel and operations partners with financial information; including but not limited to, partner performance, promotions, pricing, sales & margin modeling, trend analysis and presentations.  Provide financial modeling in areas of price erosion, list to net discounting, customer and product profitability, proposed promotions or programs.
  • INFORMATION & REPORTING: Responsible for supporting the design and management of the global central data warehouse and BI reporting tool.  Includes supervision of data loads, data integrity controls, master data maintenance, database enhancements, report management & reporting improvements (including automation) and special ad hoc projects.
  • FORECASTING – Support the sales and cost planning process to develop detailed brand, product, factory and end user margin projections including annual budget, quarterly forecasts, rolling monthly forecasts and weekly outlooks.  Support Managing Directors, Commercial Sales, Operations Finance and Senior Management throughout the process.  Provide input related to responsible sales related accounts.
  • ACCOUNTING: Approve all rebate and commission payments, review rebate and commission balance sheet reconciliations, oversight of sales related expense and accrual accounts, make recommendations for true up entries, participation in budgeting and forecasting of responsible accounts.
  • MANAGEMENT: Manage and develop talent of team.  Duties include hiring, training, coaching, goal setting and performance management.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience required

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

  • Strong experience in processes (finance and operations) and systems (Data Warehouse, Oracle, Hyperion, QAD, SAP, BI, etc.)

  • Ability to work across cultures preferred

  • Strong business acumen and team development capabilities

  • Ability to work independently and present solutions to problems

    Working Conditions:

  • Normal office working conditions, with frequent walkthrough of the factories and some travelling by land or air
