As Certified Welder you will be responsible for performing a full range of shield metal arc (SMAW), gas metal arc (GMAW), and gas tungsten arc (GTAW), and flux core arc (FCAW) welding operations under specific codes and ASME pressure vessels.

Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this position is based in Concord, Ontario, Canada*.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Weld in all positions for pressure, strength, and appearance on certified work

  • Read and Interpret drawings

  • Position, block, clamp, and tack parts to obtain proper alignment

  • Select proper welding equipment and material as prescribed;

  • regulate current, voltage, and pressure for proper fusion of metals. 

  • Exercise care in welding to insure proper technique. 

  • Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials. 

  • Complete all required reports, records and production information.

  • 1 year welding experience performing a full range of shield metal arc (SMAW), gas metal arc (GMAW), and gas tungsten arc (GTAW), and flux core arc (FCAW) welding operations under specific codes and ASME pressure vessels

  • Working in a manufacturing environment
